Perfectly Positioned
Quinta Kaleidoscope is located in a small rural town with the vibrant and energetic city of Lisbon only a short hour-long train or car ride away. Hundreds of wineries and multiple ancient castle cities, including Evora, are all within an hour drive or less. The picturesque beaches of the Lisbon Coast are only 45 minutes away. If you are inclined to venture further, a two-hour drive will get you to Spain, the beaches of the Algarve, Nazaré’s 100-foot Waves, and so much more. The main highways, N4 and A6, are just a few kilometers from our front door, giving guests quick and easy access to all the wonders Portugal offers.
Family and Women-Led Stewardship with Love and Intention
Quinta Kaleidoscope was founded in 2022 by Lyssa Adkins, her daughter Kai Adkins, and Kai’s partner, Dante Burrichter. An exploratory trip to Portugal was destined to turn into an intergenerational dream. Their passions, experiences, skills, and needs culminated into a collective vision: to cultivate a space where people can gather, do deep inner work, connect with the community, and rest from the stress of the outer world. This vision is rooted in the honor of sustainable stewardship. All operations are done in a conscious relationship with the land. Committed to Community
We recognize and reconcile our position as American immigrants in Portugal. We came here craving a connection to nature and community. We consciously strive to create relationships built on mutual reciprocity, respect, and support with our neighbors by working directly with local artisans and business owners to connect our guests with authentic products and services.
Outside of our commitment to building community locally, we also work to build community within the walls of Quinta Kaleidoscope with the groups we welcome. By providing a comfortable, safe, and beautiful space, we support groups while they develop deeper connections.
