Working towards Regeneration
proactively in striving towards regeneration every day
We envision…
Green Utilities:
We envision that Quinta Kaleidoscope will be able to operate independently from traditional utility systems with zero reliance on fossil fuels.
Farm to Table:
We envision that we will be able to provide our guests with fresh organic food directly from the land that Quinta Kaleidoscope is located on.
Community Food Systems:
We envision that Quinta Kaleidoscope will be a part of a local food system where neighbors share and support each other in meeting our nutritional and social needs.
Educational Opportunities:
We envision the ability to offer the space to provide educational experiences about sustainability and permaculture.
We plan…
Green Utilities:
We plan to install solar panels and batteries that will provide for all of our electrical needs. Currently, we use the well system for agricultural irrigation but eventually, we will use the well for all of our water needs.
Farm to table:
We plan to transform our fruit orchard into a small permaculture food forest. This will provide healthy ingredients that we will use to make delicious food and natural products for our guests.
Community Food Systems:
We plan to collaborate with our neighbors to build a small network of families who grow oranges to utilize the surplus harvest. We would like to connect oranges that would otherwise rot to local vendors and be able to provide financial benefit to our neighbors in the process. Eventually, this kind of system could expand to other foods and products.
Educational Opportunities:
We plan to host educational events at Quinta Kaleidoscope, using the projects we are implementing here as a living classroom. We would also welcome sustainability educators of various fields to teach courses here.
These visions and plans encapsulate a birds-eye-view of what we are working towards.
